(VOVworld) – People in Ho Chi Minh City donated 1.8 million US dollars to the fund for the homeland’s sea and islands at an art exchange held in the city on Sunday.

The program also honored individuals and organizations who have made great contributions to border, sea, and island activities.

Quach Cuong, representing Saigon Co.op Investment and Development Company, said: “Through this program, we hope that the entire society will join efforts with the people and soldiers stationed in border areas and islands to have stronger belief and strength to safeguard the national border and maritime sovereignty.”
