The 2018 Then singing festival opens in Ha Giang province

The festival aims to preserve and promote the Then singing genre and Tinh musical instrument and enable exchanges between ethnic groups. Nguyen Hong Hai is Director of the Ha Giang Municipal Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism: “Preparation for the festival has been completed. 14 provinces will participate in various activities of the festival. Ha Giang province has done its best to make the festival a success.”

There will be a range of activities during the festival like a photo exhibition of Then singing, a display of weaving craft, and the Khau Vai love market.

On Saturday, a program to introduce culture, tourism, and specialties of Ha Giang was held as part of the festival. Ha Giang, the host of the event, will take this occasion to organise activities to promote its tourism.
