470,000 food aid bags given to people affected by COVID-19
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Youth Union has over the past three weeks distributed nearly 470,000 food aid bags worth 4.8 million USD to people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the Union’s "A million food aid bags" program launched on August 20.

Secretary of the Youth Union Central Committee Bui Quang Huy said the Youth Union at all levels will continue mobilizing resources so that more people can benefit from the program.
“The food aid bags will help meet people’s urgent needs and temporarily overcome difficulties. It is hoped that more businesses and benefactors will see the practical meaning of the program and participate in it,” Mr. Huy said.
64,000 young volunteers have been deployed to transport and give gift bags to people in need.
