5th Vietnam’s Rice Festival opens in Vinh Long City
(VOVWORLD) - The 5th Vietnam’s Rice Festival opened on Friday evening in the southern city of Vinh Long with hundreds of pavilions featuring outstanding products of Vietnam.

President of Vietnam Farmers' Association Luong Quoc Doan spoke at the event: "In addition to existing achievements, challenges remain for Vietnam’s agricultural sector, especially in its rice production and exports. Fierce competition regarding quality and quantity of international standards requires relevant sectors, businesses, researchers, organizations, and farmers to seek solutions for stable development of Vietnam’s rice on both domestic and international markets."
The festival also features seminars on boosting the production and consumption of One Commune, One Product (OCOP) items across Vietnam, competitions between different rice brands of Vietnam, and exhibitions on achievements of Vietnam’s rice production in different periods. The festival will run until Monday.
