Lai Xuan Thanh, chief of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), said on Saturday the agency has continued to send a report on China’s violations to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

He asked the ICAO to take measures requiring China to stop its flights to imperil aviation safety in the region.

Thanh said Vietnam’s Civil Aviation Authority will inform neighboring countries to increase coordination and make recommendations or objections against China’s operation.

Earlier the authority sent a report on the issue to the ICAO in Asia Pacific.
