Mr. Binh said it at a conference on communication work on land border affairs in 2022, held on Wednesday in person and online by the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communication and Education in coordination with the Foreign Ministry, Party committees of 25 provinces bordering China, Laos, or Cambodia, and relevant agencies.

Binh, who is also Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for External Information Work, urged Party committees and authorities in border provinces to build communications plans for political tasks. He said communication activities should be customized for the population of each border area and use foreign or ethnic languages as needed.

Effective use should be made of existing cooperative mechanisms to build peaceful, friendly, and stable land borders with neighbouring countries and handle any problems that arise between Vietnam and its neighbours.

Hai said border localities should work closely with neighbouring localities in China, Laos and Cambodia to improve border management pursuant to signed agreement.
