(VOVWORLD) - As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, typhoon Bualoi and ensuing floods, landslides, and storms caused severe damage across provinces from the northern mountains to central Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

Preliminary reports indicate 48 people are dead or missing and over 100 injured while boat capsizing and landslides are reported in Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, and Da Nang.
On Tuesday evening, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected disaster-hit areas in Ninh Binh, visiting Quy Nhat commune and Hai Thinh sea dike. The Prime Minister asked ministries and local authorities to urgently assist households in repairing damaged homes, providing temporary shelter, food, water, and essentials, ensuring no one is left without shelter, food, clothing, or clean water.
In Lao Cai, over 1,000 households were urgently relocated. In Cao Bang, nearly 1,000 personnel and multiple vehicles assisted in evacuating 800 households, ensuring food supplies for more than 100 isolated families.
