Addressing the event on Wednesday in Hanoi to implement the Prime Minister’s directive on nutrition improvement for all, Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien cited the world community’s appraisal of Vietnam’s nutritious improvement. Vietnam has sustainably lowered the percentage of underweight children from nearly 32% in 2001 to 13.8% in 2016. Following the Prime Minister’s directive, the Health Ministry will make recommendations on relevant diets and food portions for different groups of people, according to their geographical regions.
