Mr. Thanh was speaking at an online conference to iron out difficulties facing businesses at industrial parks, export processing zones, high-tech areas, and industrial clusters on Monday in Hanoi. Mr. Thanh stressed the need to speed up vaccination for workers and avoid risks of COVID-19 infection at work.

According the Ministry of Planning and Investment, localities and businesses are facing a lot of difficulties due to the pandemic. Many businesses are affected owning to the interrupted global supply chain or order cancelation.

“It is essential to create favorable conditions for businesses to maintain their production while adhering to anti-COVID-19 regulations. In the coming time, social distancing measures should be implemented on a smaller and more effective scale," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.

"We need to ensure goods transportation, and overcome difficulties due to interrupted supply chain, while resolving problems endured by enterprises, workers, especially foreign experts working in Vietnam,” she noted.
