He said the meeting will give official information on the results of Nanocovax’s phase 3 of human trials, which has been divided into two smaller phases.

Scientists said test results show that neutralising antibodies produced by people injected with Nanocovax is twice higher than people recovered from the coronavirus or equivalent to 90% protection against contracting the virus.

Nanogen, the developer of Nanocovax, has asked the Ministry of Health and the Ethics Council to consider emergency licensing. The National Institute for Hygiene and Epidemiology has assessed Nanocovax on the Delta variant and said it has initial ability to neutralize the Delta variant.

Nanocovax vaccine has injected the 2nd shot of phase 3b trial on 12,000 volunteers and is scheduled to finish testing before August 15.
