Mr. Man  expressed his hope that Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist Monks of Soc Trang province and the Khmer ethnic minorities continue to stay united, overcome all difficulties, and organize traditional cultural activities and festivals to welcome the New Year happily and safely. He called on them to continue to realize the dual goal of economic development and epidemic prevention.

“I know that the association has mobilized Buddhist followers to actively respond to such campaigns as building new rural areas and civilized cities, sustainable poverty reduction, and encouraging Vietnamese people to prioritise using Vietnamese goods. There have been movements to encourage learning, promote  talent, and build a learning society,” said Mr. Man.

“I respectfully acknowledge and warmly commend the achievements and practical contributions by Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist Monks in Soc Trang province and all the Khmer ethnic minorities in the province,” he said.

Chol Chnam Thmay is the new year festival according to the traditional calendar of the Khmer people. This year, the festival takes place from April 14 to the end of April 16.
