(VOVWORLD) -With consolidated business confidence, new market entrants have been reported to rise sharply in number and scale following the adoption of Resolution 68 on private sector development, the Ministry of Finance said at the second-quarter press conference on Wednesday in Hanoi.

Last month, a record high 24,000 new enterprises were established, eclipsing the previous average of 15,000 per month. From 2021 to 2024, the monthly number of new businesses doubled. In the first half of this year, 91,000 new businesses were established nationwide.
More than 14,000 enterprises resumed operations in June, up 91%. Cumulatively, in the first six months of the year, 61,000 businesses resumed operations, up 57% from last year.
Trinh Thi Huong, Deputy Director of the Agency for the Development of the Private Sector and Collective Economy at the Ministry of Finance, said, “This is the first time the total number of new and returning businesses has exceeded the number of those exiting the market by 1.2 times, reflecting the business community’s growing confidence in the prospects of economic recovery and development.”
