On Thursday, Mr. Trong called on the entire Party, the army, the people, and their compatriots abroad to join hands to get this new coronavirus outbreak under control.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan of Hanoi, said, “The Party leader’s appeal urges everyone to do more to control the pandemic as soon as possible. I strictly observe the health ministry’s disease prevention regulations and stay home to help prevent further community transmission of COVID-19.”
Another Hanoi resident, Mr. Bui Thanh Tung, said, “I was moved to hear the Party leader’s appeal, which showed Vietnam’s determination to overcome this difficult time. Everyone must be united to halt the pandemic.”
Vu Tien Loc, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the Party chief’s appeal was like a call for national resistance, this time against the pandemic.
“The business community nationwide is responding to the Party leader’s appeal to fight the pandemic and protect people’s lives. Businesses will also do their best to maintain production and protect people’s livelihoods,” Mr. Loc said.
