(VOVworld) – Poor people and insurance holders will benefit the most from price adjustments in healthcare services, said Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien on Sunday’s TV program “People ask, Minister answers”. According to a roadmap created by the Ministry of Health, the price of 1,800 medical services will go up and new medical fees issued by inter-ministries will include equipment and materials, doctors’ wages, and various allowances for health workers at public hospitals. Medical fee adjustments will greatly affect essential services and will affect each household at a different level. Insurance card holders poor people, and social welfare beneficiaries will benefit because their medical fees will be paid by the insurance company. People close to the poverty line, whose health costs are subsidized 70% by the government, the rest by their localities.
