The fourth Vietnam Book Day opens

(VOVworld) - The fourth Vietnam Book Day opened in Hanoi on April 6. Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Nguyen Minh Hong, was speaking in the opening ceremony: “The fourth Vietnam Book Day is to encourage public response and participation in the culture of reading while mobilizing community resources in ensuring public access to books for social development. This is an opportunity to honor individuals and exemplary models for their contribution to the reading culture of the community.”

This year’s event feature 80 publishing houses nationwide, displaying nearly 40,000 book titles in different areas, including politics, law, economy, science, technology, education, literature, socio-culture, religion, etc.
On this occasion, the National Political Publishing House introduced a book collection of Ho Chi Minh’s lectures during revolutionary training courses in 1925 – 1927 reflecting leader Nguyen Ai Quoc’s political mindset and preparation for the foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
