TPP: opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese female entrepreneurs and workers
(VOVworld) – A seminar on the opportunities and challenges presented by the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement for Vietnamese female entrepreneurs and workers opened in Hanoi on Tuesday. Dinh Thi Thu Ha, Vice President of Thai Nguyen province’s Female Entrepreneurs’ Association, said: “We should equip ourselves with legal knowledge and improve the quality of our products during this time of integration. Distinctive products will ensure competitiveness and generate incomes and jobs.”
Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union, said: “We have carried out practical activities in terms of policy development, start-up training, and credit and market access to support female entrepreneurs and workers. We have helped to establish networks of female entrepreneurs and organize vocational training courses for female workers and women in rural areas.”
