In his address, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien highlighted the Politburo and the National Assembly’s adoption of policy to restart the nuclear power program and the Ninh Thuan nuclear power projects 1 and 2 to ensure national energy security and meet Vietnam's electricity consumption needs in the coming years.

Dien said the policy aligns with the current national situation, adding that human resources, both in the short and long term, are extremely necessary to serve the nuclear power program and the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project.

“In order to build Ninh Thuan nuclear power plants 1 and 2, we need several thousand engineers and technical workers. Now if we plan to develop more nuclear power plants nationwide, it’s clear that preparing high-quality human resources and technical workers is particularly essential,” said Dien.

Meeting participants agreed that human resource development is strategic and decisive for the success of the nuclear power plant project.
