Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director General of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, promoted Vietnam as a destination for filmmakers on Wednesday during the 78th Cannes Film Festival.

The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and the Film Development Association hosted a seminar titled "Vietnam – Dynamic Asian Market and New Destination for International Film Crews” at Cannes festival.

Besides diverse landscapes, Vietnam is rich in culture and people with 54 ethnic groups living together, creating a diverse picture of customs, festivals, cuisine, costumes, architecture, and more, Mr. Khanh told the seminar. The heroic history of thousands of years of building and defending the country is also an endless source of inspiration for epic and war-themed artworks.
