Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong told the conference that last year Vietnam achieved important results, meeting and exceeding all 15 targets set by the National Assembly.
The economy recorded rapid, strong recovery with the GDP growth reaching 7.09%, higher than the set target of 6-6.5%. Vietnam is a bright spot of growth among the group of high-growth countries in the world.
Mr. Phuong said the Government has submitted the Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2025 with 15 key targets to the Party Central Committee and National Assembly for approval.
“Achieving an economic growth rate of 8 to 10% is a top priority and essential for all sectors and localities in 2025. It is crucial to set more ambitious goals and foster greater determination to stay on course,” said Phuong.
