(VOworld) – Vietnam will participate in the 9^th World Premier Film Festival of Philippines from June 26 to July 11 in Manila. The festival includes 6 categories: competing films, modern Philippine cinematography, Southeast Asian cinematography, world cinematography, national cinema highlights, and Vietnamese and Russian movies. Eligible entries should be new and screened for the first time at an international cinematography event, be diverse in cultural identities and reflect in-depth issues about humans and society.

Vietnamese film "Yen's life" will compete in the festival

Vietnam has chosen “Yen’s life” directed by Dinh Tuan Vu and produced by Vietnam Feature Film Company to compete in the festival. “Yen’s life” is considered a lively diary about life and destiny of Vietnamese women in the past, their sacrifices and strengths to overcome all difficulties.
