Vietnam’s farm produce offered on e-market places

(VOVWORLD) -The COVID-19 pandemic has turned out to be a golden opportunity for Vietnam’s farm produce to go online domestically and internationally.

Lychees, a specialty of the northern province of Hai Duong, have been on sale on Lazada since the middle of May, registering 3 tons in sales so far, mainly in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.  Six tons of lychees were sold one day after they went on Sendo platform. The volume is projected to double within a few more days.

Lychees of Bac Giang province are expected to be available on global platforms, including Alibaba and Amazon. Plums and mangos of Yen Chau district, the northern province of Son La, are being listed on Shopee. Yen Chau plum have racked up a ton in sales. All the fruits on e-markets are traceable and labeled by the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The agency will help localities with the consumption of their agricultural products via e-markets.
