Pride and responsibility

In addition to reviewing the past term and working out a roadmap for local development, the Quang Ngai provincial Party Congress will affirm its pivotal role in Party-building. The congress follows the successful completion of Party congresses of 816 grassroots Party organizations and 100 subordinate Party committees which were conducted in strict compliance with procedures and quality standards. 

The successful organization of the first provincial congress of the next 5-year term demonstrates the province’s renewed determination and ambition and sends a strong message that the Quang Ngai provincial Party Committee has the courage, wisdom, and capacity to perform a pioneering role. The province pledges to continue to reform, strengthen Party building, boost socio-economic growth, and improve people’s livelihoods.

Bui Thi Quynh Van, a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Quang Ngai provincial Party Committee, said: “After the merger of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum, our new province is now the fifth largest in Vietnam. We enjoy opportunities for maritime development, East–West connectivity stretching from border to coast, and a strong potential for socio-economic growth. Our overarching goal is to build a thriving industrial province, attract investors, and develop sector-specific strategies. The province will promote its current growth drivers while leveraging the Dung Quất Refinery and its downstream industries as new drivers of growth.”

National significance

This congress is a milestone for Quang Ngai and a political event with national resonance, followed by a series of provincial congresses, inspiring enthusiasm, strengthening public trust, and signaling renewed vitality in the Party’s leadership.

To ensure that Vietnam grows rapidly and sustainably, each locality must become a growth engine and a sustainable cornerstone of national development. Achieving that will require a strong and respected Party organization capable of uniting the people.

In a February article, Party General Secretary To Lam said the 2025-2030 Party congresses at all levels are very important as a critical stepping stone for a successful 14th National Party Congress in early 2026.

This series of congresses are a cornerstone of Vietnam’s politics to steer the country into a new era of prosperity and development.

Politburo Directive 45 emphasized that these congresses are being held amid major achievements in all fields, growing national solidarity, and stronger public confidence in the Party, favorable conditions for Vietnam to achieve the targets and plans set by the Party Central Committee.
