Children in Truong Sa district island celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival
(VOVWORLD) - Children from Song Tu Tay and Sinh Ton communes and Da Tay island in Truong Sa district island celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival with lively lion dances and a special letter from Party General Secretary and President To Lam.

“On the island, we don't get to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with our parents like on the mainland, but we have the unique experience of celebrating with the soldiers which makes us very happy and excited,” Nguyen Ho Dieu Linh said.
Officers and soldiers crafted lanterns in various shapes using the island's available materials, giving them as special gifts to the children.
Lieutenant Ta Hong Phu said, “Far from the mainland, we reused last year's lanterns, along with cans and water bottles, to create new ones for the children.”
Lieutenant Colonel Le Ngoc Nam said, “Despite shortages, the officers and soldiers on Da Tay Island are determined to give the children a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival, ensuring they don't miss out the fun.”
