Naval Region 2 sponsors children of fishermen
(VOVWORLD) - Naval Region 2 and authorities of Soc Trang and Bac Lieu provinces launched a program called “Naval troops sponsor fishermen’s children” last week.

The Navy will help bring up five children of needy fishermen in each province. Each child will be provided with school supplies, necessities, and 21 USD per month.
Children in the two provinces have been provided with bicycles, gifts, and a year’s worth of financial sponsorship.
The program is of socio-political significance as it supports fishermen families living in Vietnam’s sea and islands and encourages them to maintain production and contribute to protecting Vietnam’s sea and islands sovereignty.
