(VOVworld) – A photographic exhibition about Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago by Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) journalist Nguyen My Tra during her trip to the islands this June, opened in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Themed “Truong Sa: Here we come”, the exhibition displays as many as 70 photos on the archipelago and is divided into three topics – the astonishing landscapes of Truong Sa, the beauty of naval soldiers, and daily life on the islands.
VOV’s President Nguyen The Ky said at the opening ceremony: “I encouraged her to go ahead with the exhibition which I strongly believed would attract public attention. The photos feature Truong Sa archipelago and the soldiers who are protecting our national sovereignty over the sea and islands. I’m glad that many people have come to the exhibition today to show their love for and trust in our soldiers.”

The exhibition is sponsored by the Voice of Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to raise funds for organizing a mid-Autumn festival for the island soldiers’ children. The exhibition will run until September 6, at 45 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi.
