The "What Do You Know About Vietnam 2025" contest, launched by the VOV, is part of activities to mark 80 years of VOV

Our sincere thanks for all your support and participation over the past three months! Your thoughtful entries and heartfelt letters have made the contest—a special event celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Voice of Vietnam (September 7)—a big success.

In the final week of submissions, we receive a message from A. Raina Afrin Tandra, a 13-year-old student in Bangladesh, who wrote: “I love exploring cultures, science, and the fascinating stories of different countries. Thanks to my father—a dedicated listener of Voice of Vietnam (VOV) since 1993—I’ve grown up hearing the beautiful melodies of Vietnamese music, the rich tales of its history, and the exciting advancements in its science and technology programs. Though I’m new to VOV’s contests, my curiosity about Vietnam has been sparked by the vibrant broadcasts that fill our home.”

Another listener, Ezequiel Hernández Gómez of Cuba, said: “Like everyone, I hope to win a prize—maybe even the one for the oldest participant. I’m 87 years old and work in a grocery store. But for me, the real reward is learning more about the brave people of Vietnam. That alone is a prize.”

In the coming days, the Organizing Committee will review all submissions and choose the winners. Contest results will be announced soon.
