(VOVWORLD) - Culinary artist Pham Thi Anh Tuyet, owner of Anh Tuyet Restaurant, in the Old Quarter, is a familiar name to people who love Hanoi’s traditional gastronomy. She was recognized as one of the 10 most outstanding citizens of Hanoi in 2018.

(VOVWORLD) - Tran Phuong Lan, founder and head of the “baby with epidermolysis bullosa (EB)” club in Hoan Kiem district, has been recognized as one of the 10 most outstanding citizens of Hanoi in 2018. Lan first adopted a boy affected with EB and then became a sponsor for dozens of other EB patients.

(VOVWORLD) - Trinh Ngoc Trinh is known as a dedicated teacher who has contributed greatly to the education sector. At the age of 84, he still works as Director of the Highland Education Development Organization (HEDO). Trinh was recognized as one of the 10 most outstanding citizens of Hanoi in 2018.

(VOVWORLD) - 74-year-old war veteran Nguyen Tu Hung of Tan Lap commune, Hanoi, is known for his great contribution to new rural development in his home village. He was recognized as one of the 10 most outstanding citizens of Hanoi in 2018.

(VOVWORLD) - Born into a family of musicians, Le Thu Huong took to the flute at a very young age. After being trained at the Vietnam National Academy of Music and obtaining her Bachelor of Music degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, Denmark, Huong performed at many international concerts, promoting Vietnamese music to international audiences.

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s renewal process launched by the Communist Party of Vietnam in the 1980s has seen enormous progress, dramatically changing the image of Vietnam and its influence in the world arena. These achievements were largely due to the contribution of late Party leader Nguyen Van Linh.
