At a meeting in Hanoi with Scott Strazik, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of GE Vernova of the United States, General Secretary Lam suggested that economic, trade, investment, science and technology, and innovation cooperation between the two countries continue to be the main driving force and a model for mutually beneficial cooperation in international relations.

Vietnam values and facilitates investment and business activities by US energy corporations in Vietnam to bring practical benefits to the people and businesses of both countries, he added. Vietnam is ready to be a bridge and gateway to boost cooperation between GE Vernova and countries in the region, especially Southeast Asia.

Mr. Strazik said that GE Vernova chose Vietnam as the first Asian country to host its annual energy conference, involving more than 100 leaders from leading global energy corporations, which marks the beginning of a new phase of development in the firm’s cooperation with Vietnam and the region. GE Vernova is committed to working with Vietnam in ensuring energy security and also in achieving Vietnam's socio-economic development goals, he said.
