(VOVWORLD) - A team from the Naval Region 2 led Colonel Le Hong Quang, Deputy Political Chief of Naval Region 2 has successfully held early voting for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels (2026-2031 term) for voters stationed at DK1 offshore platforms, as well as vessels on duty and fishermen at Ba Ke cluster.

The voting was held from March 1-3. There are three DK1 platforms at Ba Ke shoal, which lies about 580km (313 nautical miles) Northwest of Vung Tau sea, which is among the most remote polling locations on Vietnam’s southern continental shelf.
The team prepared all necessary equipment and materials, including decorations, signage, voter lists, voter cards, ballots, and ballot boxes, in compliance with regulations. Candidates' biographies and action plans were displayed clearly and publicly. Early voting at these platforms were conducted lawfully, solemnly, and democratically.
