The program is part of the efforts to intensify communication and education of revolutionary traditions, and strengthen public trust in the leadership of the Party.
Through outstanding revolutionary films, the program seeks to recreate the Vietnamese people's arduous yet heroic struggle for national liberation and reunification.
Many well-known Vietnamese films are being introduced to audiences on this occasion. On the opening day, the classic “When the Date Comes Again”, winner of the Golden Lotus Award at the third Vietnam Film Festival, was screened. The film was produced in 1974 by the Vietnam Feature Film Studio and directed by Tran Vu.
On Thursday, audiences will be treated with the film “The August Star”, produced in 1976 by Tran Dac, which also won the Golden Lotus Award at the fourth Vietnam Film Festival.

65-year-old Hanoi resident Vu Thi Loan praised the State’s decision to screen classic and historical Vietnamese films free of charge.
“When my friends and I learned the news, we immediately made plans to go to the cinema together. We are very grateful to the Party and the State for doing something so meaningful,” said Loan.
The program is expected to help vividly recreate the nation’s heroic chapters of history under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
