At the launch ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Pham Duc Long said since its founding, the Communist Party of Vietnam has held 13 National Congresses, from the 1st Congress in 1935 to the 13th Congress in 2021.

The 14th Congress, scheduled to take place from January 19 to 25, is a major political event and an important milestone, embodying the trust and high expectations of the entire nation for a strong, prosperous, and happy Vietnam.

Mr. Long said the commemorative stamp set was designed in a modern graphic style, with a harmonious layout and vibrant colors, conveying profound symbolic meaning.

At the center of the stamp design is the Roman numeral “XIV,” combined with the Hammer and Sickle emblem, forming a solid composition that radiates the ideals and beliefs of the Party. Alongside it is the image of a rising star, symbolizing the nation’s ascent in the era of digital technology and affirming that science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation are the foremost strategic breakthroughs and key driving forces for Vietnam’s rapid and sustainable development in the new era.

On the left side of the stamp are images of people from all walks of life moving forward in unity under the Party’s flag, together with the benevolent gaze of President Ho Chi Minh. This vivid portrayal reflects a united Vietnam that has gathered sufficient strength, determination, and resolve to enter a new era of building a prosperous, civilized, and happy nation. The stamp also bears the red inscription: “Warmly Welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.”

The stamp set comprises a single design, measuring 43 x 32 mm, created by painter Nguyen Du of the Vietnam Post Corporation.

Since the 3rd National Party Congress in 1960, the postal sector has issued commemorative stamp sets on the occasion of each Party Congress. These stamps have helped spread the spirit of emulation nationwide, reflecting the cause of national liberation and defense, the building of socialism, and the major achievements of the Vietnamese Revolution.
