Yen Tu Autumn Festival 2025 - “Meditative colors of autumn”

(VOVWORLD) - The Yen Tu Autumn Festival 2025 has opened at the Yen Tu Relic and Scenic Area in Quang Ninh province. Taking place until the end of the year, the festival features with a range of cultural activities.

At 5:30 a.m., as the sun rises, visitors begin their meditation practice to the soft sound of bamboo flutes echoing across the sacred Yen Tu peak more than 1,000 meters above sea level.

Walking meditation, tea meditation, and watching the sunrise from the top of Dong (Bronze) Pagoda are among the new experiences for tourists to Yen Tu this autumn.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh of Hong Gai ward, Quang Ninh province, said: “I had a wonderful experience with the sunrise and tea meditation sessions. I felt completely immersed in nature and fresh air. Nowadays, more people seek a closer connection with nature, so once they know about this experience, I’m sure they will want to try it.”

The Yen Tu Autumn Festival 2025, themed “Meditative colors of autumn,” features several art performances celebrating heritage values and ceremonies praying for national peace and prosperity.

The VR360 digital tour app of the Yen Tu complex, Hang Son Pagoda, and Ho–Xep Bang Mountain Cave will also be launched.

As the Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son, Kiep Bac relic complex has been recognized as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, the Yen Tu Autumn Festival continues to promote the site’s outstanding values and tourist attractions.

Juliana Brown, an Australian tourist, said: "I came here two years ago. Now I return with my friends. The autumn is so beautiful and pleasant. It's great that Yen Tu has been recognized as a World Heritage Site."

Major events from now until the end of the year include a ceremony commemorating the 717th anniversary of King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong’s attainment of Nirvana, folk-arts performances, a music show titled “The sacred sound of Yen Tu,” and the “Lang Nuong Cultural Space” showcasing the traditions of the Dao Thanh Y ethnic people.

There will also be a Yen Tu Chinese chess tournament, a bonsai festival, and the “Yen Tu Heritage Marathon.”

The Yen Tu Autumn Festival will be the first step in building its brand of “Four-Season Tourism” and “Heritage Economy-Sustainable Development,” aiming to turn Yen Tu into a leading cultural, ecological, and spiritual tourism center, with the goal of welcoming 1.5 million visitors per year by 2030.
