A: He wrote: “I’m listening using a Tecsun PL330 receiver and a wire antenna approximately 10m in length. The signal is very strong with very little interference or fading with SINPO of 54555.”

B: Listening to our broadcasts, he shared his special interests in stories about crafts in Hanoi, a portrait artist in Hanoi and Vietnamese music with songs composed by Trinh Cong Son.

A: Thank you, Mr. Williams, for tuning in to our broadcast. We’ll send you our e-verification and hope to receive more feedback from you.

B: Next, I’d like to confirm a reception report from Wang Yongzhi, a listener from China. Mr. Wang listened to our broadcast on July 6th from 19:30 to 20:00 UTC on the frequency of 9840 kHz.

A: Bidhan Chandra Sanyal of India continues to send us daily reports on VOV broadcast on the frequency of 7220 khz and on our website at vovworld.vn. As a regular listener of Voice of Vietnam, I listen to the program daily and visit the website daily. In Saturday's report I learned about the Touch project. Touch is a project for elementary school students at Edison School in Hanoi where participants learn to spread love and care to other people. With the statements of the principals, students and parents, I’m this project will increase the confidence and ability of science-based students as well as inspires them to contribute to the country’s development.”

A: Thank you, Mr. Sanyal, for regularly sending reports on our programs. Your feedback is a source of great encouragement for us to make our programs even more interesting for foreign listeners around the world.

B: Guy Le Louet of France says he wanted to learn more about the Vietnamese women’s football team.

A: Vietnam women's football was established in 1990, but it wasn't until 1997 that the women's team had its first match. The team has become one of the most powerful women’s football teams in Southeast Asia since 2001. Vietnam cemented its position in the region by winning gold medals at the AFF Women's Championship in 2006, 2012 and 2019. Also, in the SEA Games women's level, Vietnam won gold in seven tournaments.

B:  In February this year, the Vietnamese national women’s football team beat Chinese Taipei 2-1 at a play-off match to compete at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup for the first time.

Wednesday July 20, 2022 - ảnh 3The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has named Vietnamese striker Huynh Nhu among the six leading Asian stars who are poised to have a huge impact at the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

A: The achievements demonstrated the burning passion of the players to contribute to Vietnam’s football. Women’s football has worked miracles after more than three decades of its establishment and development.

B: This week, Shivendu Paul of India asked us about Vietnam’s mango products.

A: Vietnam exported more than 600,000 tons of mangoes worth 310 million USD to 53 countries and territories last year, up by almost half from 2020. They went to Russia, the US, the Republic of Korea, the EU, Australia, and China among others, with shipments to Japan tripling to 640 tons.

B: Mango can be grown throughout the year without much change in quality, which helps companies easily get export orders. Vietnam has around 87,000 hectares of mango, with the Mekong Delta accounting for nearly half. Vietnam plans to expand the total area by 2030 and increase exports to 650 million USD to take advantage of growing global demand.

A: There are several kinds of mangoes in Vietnam: the yellow ones with sweet, soft flesh including “xoai cat”, “xoai tuong”, “xoai ngua”; and the green sour ones. Mangoes in the southern Mekong Delta provinces of Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Khanh Hoa, Dong Nai, Vinh Long, and An Giang are famous nationwide for their sweetness, aroma, and dense flesh. Mangoes grown in northern provinces like Son La, Ha Giang, and Lai Chau are less popular.

B: Mangoes are a common dessert fruit in Vietnamese homes and restaurants. Ripe mangoes are blended with sweet condensed milk to eat. Green mangoes, especially the crunchy ones, are used to make green mango salad, and very common in the south of Vietnam are green mango salad with barbecued chicken, grilled beef, and peanuts, and green mango dipped in fish sauce.

A: This week, many listeners told us that they want to learn more about summer destinations in Vietnam. Among them, Keo Right of Cambodia asked about Lan Ha Bay.

B: Lan Ha Bay, on the east of Cat Ba island near Hai Phong city, is dubbed the “forgotten  paradise”. The bay is now on the radar of those who want to get close to nature.

A: As part of the Cat Ba World Biosphere Reserve, Lan Ha Bay is distinguished by its tranquility and spectacular beauty of about 400 dense and small islands of interesting shapes lining up really close one after another, each of which is covered by shiny green vegetation.

B: In early 2020, Lan Ha Bay was officially made a member of the World's Most Beautiful Bays Club. Lan Ha Bay is a highlight of Cat Ba tourism. There are 130 totally unspoiled, ravishing sandy beaches around the bay, which are connected with caves and tropical forest to add more excitement to your trips.

A: It takes visitors 90 minutes of driving on the Hanoi-Hai Phong expressway to reach Pha Got ferry pier. From there take a 20-minute boat trip to Cat Ba Island before embarking on a small canoe or modern cruise to the 7,000 ha Lan Ha Bay. Getting a bird eye’s view of the whole spectacle is possible thanks to the Cat Hai–Phu Long cable car route, which is in the World Guinness Book for “highest cable car pillar in the world”.
