Commander of the Seventh Fleet Vice Admiral Fred Kacher, US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper and the Commanders of the two ships paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of Khanh Hoa province.

The Seventh Fleet Band performed music at Nha Trang Seaside Park. Officers and sailors had cultural exchanges with Khanh Hoa University and children at the Mai Am Center in Cam Ranh city.

At a reception for the delegation, Le Huu Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, said the visit contributes to the stronger friendship and cooperation between Khanh Hoa province, Vietnam and the United States.

He expressed his hope that the US will continue to support Khanh Hoa in tourism, culture, people-to-people exchanges as well as in tourism communication to Americans. "We propose organizing Fam Trip, Press Trip, and Media Trip for delegations from US states to survey outstanding tourism products and services in Khanh Hoa province,” Hoang said.
