Vietnamese in Canada make cakes to raise funds for flood victims

(VOVWORLD) - Overseas Vietnamese people have made 400 glutinous rice cakes to raise funds for flood victims in central Vietnam . The program was hosted by Vietnamese living and working in the city of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada.

Vietnamese in Canada make cakes to raise funds for flood victims  - ảnh 3 Volunteers spent their weekend cooking the cakes. 400 Tet cakes (glutinous rice cakes) were completed in just 3 days.

Vietnamese in Canada make cakes to raise funds for flood victims  - ảnh 8They also make Vietnamese traditional braised fish and other cakes to raise funds.  
Vietnamese in Canada make cakes to raise funds for flood victims  - ảnh 9After just 2 weeks of launching, total proceeds reached 8,680 Canadian dollars. The money will be sent to Vietnam to aid those suffering from historic flooding in Quang Tri province.
