(VOV world) - Hanoi hosted a ceremony yesterday to honour 100 outstanding blood donors from across the country. The event created opportunities for the blood donors to meet and exchange experiences on encouraging the public to donate blood. The ceremony was co-organized by the National Steering Committee on Voluntary Blood Donation and  the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to mark the World Blood Donor Day on June 14th.

Minister of Health and Head of the National Steering Committee on Voluntary Blood Donation Nguyen Thi Kim Tien spoke at the event: “100 outstanding donors represent millions of voluntary blood donors nationwide. Your contributions are deeply appreciated for saving lives and replenish the blood reserve. You are such great examples of Vietnamese humanity”.

37 of 100 representatives have donated blood over 20 times.
