Workers and youth union members in Hai Phong donate blood.

The Hai Phong City Federation of Labor aims to use this program to further promote voluntary blood donation, helping to maintain a stable blood supply for emergency care and treatment at medical facilities both in the city and nationwide.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director of the Hematology–Blood Transfusion Center at Hai Phong Vietnam–Czech Friendship Hospital, said,“Hai Phong is among the cities that do not experience a shortage of blood for patients. This reassures us, the blood transfusion staff, that we can provide patients with sufficient, high-quality blood for both emergencies and medical treatment.”

Since the beginning of the year, the municipal Federation of Labor has organized 15 blood donation drives where 5,000 participants donated over 4,000 units of blood.
