11 entries will compete in the best feature-length film category and 19 entries will compete in the short film category.

Besides film screenings, the festival will include seminars to introduce German cinema and discuss historical film and literary adaptation production, and an exhibition featuring UNESCO heritage sites of Vietnam.

Participants will also have a chance to join sideline activities, such as outdoor film screening programs, exchanges with actors and actresses, and sightseeing tours to some attractive destinations in Hanoi, among others.
