(VOVWORLD) - On Tuesday afternoon, Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Luong Ngoc confirmed that the embassy had successfully carried out a citizen protection mission, safely evacuating 18 Vietnamese nationals living and working in Iran to a third country.

Currently, 20 Vietnamese citizens remain in Iran, including embassy staff. All are safe, in stable condition, and maintain regular contact with the embassy.
According to official data from the embassy, there are a total of 38 Vietnamese in Iran, including embassy personnel, permanent residents, and temporary visitors.
The embassy has repeatedly advised Vietnamese citizens to remain vigilant, avoid large gatherings, strictly follow safety regulations set by local authorities, and maintain close contact with the embassy.
