(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Saturday suggested developing an advanced Vietnamese culture rich in national identity and building a comprehensively developed Vietnamese people, so that culture permeates social life and becomes a solid spiritual foundation and endogenous resource for development.

In the coming year, the culture, sports and tourism sector will focus on effectively implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress in the spirit of "Innovative Thinking-Decisive Action-Substantive Achievement", the PM said.
He called culture the "soft border" of the nation, sports a symbol of the will and stature of the nation, tourism a channel connecting friendship and peace, and media the belief, expectation, and bridge between the Party, State, and people.
“We must harness our rich national culture and intelligence of the Vietnamese people. We must promote and internationalize our country's unique culture abroad, and conversely, nationalize world civilization. We must create breakthroughs in sports development. If we don't start, we'll never reach an end. Investment in development has no stopping point,” Prime Minister Chinh emphasized.
He expressed his confidence that the culture, sports, and tourism sector will continue to uphold its glorious traditions and achievements, innovate strongly, and steadily advance into a new era with new momentum, determination, motivation, and success.
