According to the conference, Quang Ninh’s gross regional product grew 11.89% in 2025, the highest growth rate in the country. It estimated the provincial economy reached about 14.02 billion USD, with gross regional product per capita at roughly 10,400 USD. Budget revenue exceeded 3.12 billion USD. The province started and inaugurated 51 key projects, with combined capital exceeding 5.14 billion USD.  Improvements were made in the investment environment, administrative reform, digital transformation and innovation. Social sectors including education, health, culture and tourism also continued to develop.

Quang Ninh has set a target of over 12.9% economic growth in 2026 and aims for total budget revenue near 3.28 billion USD. The province plans to focus on restructuring sustainable revenue sources, and developing import-export, logistics, the marine economy, high-quality tourism and industrial parks.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Quan Minh Cuong told the conference that Quang Ninh should prioritize development grounded in science and technology, boost innovation and digital transformation, speed up public investment disbursement and expand development space. He said authorities should put people at the center, maintain political and social stability, and strengthen the Communist Party’s leadership.

On this occasion, the province launched its 2026 emulation campaign, urging the political system, businesses and residents to exceed socio-economic targets, improve urban quality and move closer to meeting criteria for a centrally-governed city.
