(VOVWORLD) -Every year, in late March, people and institutions come together to switch off all non-essential lights for sixty minutes at 8.30PM local time. In Vietnam, the Earth Hour campaign has attracted a multitude of young people over the years.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Dang Hoang An, said: “The campaign has drawn the attention of so many Vietnamese people. This will raise the community’s awareness about protecting the environment and fighting global climate change.”
2023 is the 15th year Vietnam has responded to the campaign. A light-turning-off event will take place across the country this Saturday from 8.30PM to 9.30PM.
