(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired an online meeting to review  drug control and rehabilitation activities on Friday.

Deputy Prime Ministers Truong Hoa Binh and Vu Duc Dam as well as representatives from 63 cities and provinces nationwide attended the event. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised recent efforts to combat major drug criminal cases: “The government’s message is drug related crimes and drug abuse are serious issues harming the society. The whole political system, families and communities must resolutely prevent and control them to ensure social order and security.”

The Prime Minister urged the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Health to expand drug rehabilitation models in the community and efficient detoxification protocols.
