(VOVWORLD) - Four people died as supporters of President Donald Trump violently occupied the US Capitol, according to local police.

Police in Washington DC said they also found two pipe bombs, one outside the Democratic National Committee and one outside the Republican National Committee, in the wake of the violence.
Washington DC Police Chief Robert Contee confirmed the deaths as people tried to break through a barricaded door in the Capitol building, where police were armed on the other side.
