Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Hoang Nguyen Dinh carried out on-site checks of vessel landings, seafood unloading, and catch traceability declarations, while also reviewing the operations of IUU monitoring offices.

All fishing vessels in Ho Chi Minh City have been registered and updated in the national fisheries database (VNFishbase). 207 ineligible vessels have been barred from going to sea.

All vessels measuring 15 meters or longer have installed vessel monitoring systems (VMS), which are monitored around the clock.

The electronic catch documentation and traceability system (eCDT) is operational at all eligible fishing ports.
