(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted on Friday its annual meeting with foreign press attachés and international correspondents based in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang affirmed that 2025 marked a year of significant achievements in Vietnam's foreign affairs, reinforcing the country’s role as a trusted, proactive, and responsible partner. These accomplishments, she said, were widely shared with the world thanks to the close cooperation of international media.
Reaffirming Vietnam's commitment to facilitating foreign press activities, she noted that Decree 219, issued this year, officially exempts resident correspondents from work permit requirements and improves visa and residency procedures.
On the occasion of the upcoming New Year 2026, the Deputy Foreign Minister extended wishes of health, peace, and success to journalists and their families, and invited guests to enjoy pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) in celebration of Vietnamese Pho Day (December 12).
