Argentina to build memorial for football icon Diego Maradona
(VOVWORLD) - On October 31, the children of legendary footballer Diego Maradona announced the creation of a memorial fund to celebrate his legacy, including a planned memorial in Buenos Aires.

Named the “M10 Memorial,” the site will open in Puerto Madero in 2025 and is anticipated to welcome around 1 million visitors annually. Maradona’s daughter, Dalma Maradona, shared her hopes for a place where fans can honor her father’s memory. Entry will be free for Argentine citizens.
Diego Maradona passed away in November 2020 at the age of 60 due to a heart attack, while recovering from brain surgery. Although the cause was deemed natural, an investigation is ongoing into possible negligence by his medical team.
