Australia defends champions at APGC

(VOVWORLD) - Australia top the table after day two of the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) Senior Amateur Championships, heading to complete a hattrick of team title successes in Hai Phong this week.

The Australian men’s team secured victory with a 12-stroke lead over the South Korean team, while New Zealand finished in third place. The Australian women’s team won with a 10-stroke lead over Japan, with New Zealand also finishing in third place. In the men’s individual event, golfer Heo Ji Baek from South Korea claimed the men’s individual title.

New Zealand golfer Lisa Herbert won the women’s individual championship.

The 2024 Asia-Pacific Senior Amateur Golf Championship brought together over 100 athletes from 15 countries and territories, including Vietnam, New Zealand, India, Myanmar, Australia, the UAE, Hong Kong (China), Guam, Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Pakistan, South Korea, Japan, and Mongolia.
