Campaign launched to build houses for people affected by floods in Lam Dong

(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh attended the launching ceremony of the campaign to build and repair houses collapsed or damaged by natural disasters at Lam Tuyen 2 village, D'Ran commune, Lam Dong province, on Wednesday.

Organized by the provincial People's Committee, this activity is part of the national program initiated by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Lam Dong provincial leaders pledged to complete construction of new houses before January 15, 2026, and complete repairs to damaged houses before December 20, 2025.

Deputy Prime Minister Chinh and Lam Dong leaders presented 10 gifts to households that suffered heavy losses due to floods in D'Ran commune. They visited and encouraged people to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and restore production.

The recent floods in Lam Dong have destroyed 23 houses and damaged 206 others. The province has compensated 4,450 USD per house that was completely collapsed and 750 to 1,500 USD per house that was damaged.
