(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has reiterated that authorities at all levels must put themselves in the position of people who lost their houses in storms and floods in order to act decisively.

Chairing a meeting on Wednesday to review the implementation of the “Quang Trung Campaign”, which rebuilds and repairs homes damaged or destroyed by recent storms and floods in central Vietnam, Mr. Chinh reiterated the target of completing all home repairs by December 31, 2025, and construction of new houses by January 31, 2026.

He urged localities, especially Gia Lai and Dak Lak province, to make greater efforts to complete the house construction. He also called on Petrovietnam, EVN, VNPT, and Viettel to continue supporting localities, and asked media agencies to quickly report on effective models and good practices.
The latest report presented at the meeting showed that 1,622 houses, equivalent to 98%, are being constructed. Meanwhile, 90.3 percent of home repair work has been finished.
